Over the past 15 years, I have had the privilege of working with numerous families across the globe, providing support and guidance in various aspects of parenting. However, the most significant and rewarding experience during this time has been my journey as a twin mother. Being a twin specialist as well as a mother of twins has been a uniquely enriching and fulfilling experience, allowing me to not only support other families but also learn valuable lessons from my own children.
As a mother of twins, I have faced numerous challenges and joys that have shaped my understanding of the intricacies of parenting multiples. The past couple of months have been particularly enlightening, as I have spent countless hours working and supporting families around the clock, while also caring for my twin girls. The experience has been both exhausting and exhilarating, and I have learned more than I ever thought possible from my daughters.
One particular experience during this time stands out as something inexplicable and profound. As a twins specialist, I have encountered and supported multiple families facing various parenting challenges. However, there was a moment of connection with my own twins that transcended words and logic, leaving me in awe of the unique bond twins share and the unspoken understanding they possess.
In addition to my personal journey as a twin mother, I have also been actively involved in supporting other multiple families through various initiatives. I have enjoyed being a part of the Catembery Multiple Club, where I have connected with other parents of multiples and shared experiences and insights. Additionally, I have contributed to Antenatal classes in Christchurch, helping expectant parents prepare for the arrival of their twins. Through FaceTime newborn care support, I have extended my assistance to families in need of guidance and advice during the early stages of parenting multiples.
Being a twins specialist and a twin mother is a deeply rewarding and special role that I am proud to embrace. I am eager to continue sharing my story and experiences with multiple families, creating a supportive community where we can learn from each other and celebrate the joys and challenges of parenting twins. Together, we can navigate the unique journey of raising multiples and create lasting connections that enrich our lives.
