I’m a maternity nurse, doula, sleep consultant, and all-round baby whisperer and birth world based in Christchurch, New Zealand and London

As a new mother of twin girls, this journey takes on a unique and extraordinary dimension. The experience of raising two little ones simultaneously brings both immense fulfillment and a set of responsibilities that can at times seem overwhelming. Yet, it is in the midst of these challenges that the true beauty of motherhood shines through.

The journey of pregnancy was a delicate dance of nurturing two lives, each with their own distinct personalities even before they were born.

As a Maternety Nurse I have been providing 24-hour support to new parents with newborns. It has been an incredible experience to work with such a high volume of families around the world each with their unique challenges and joys.

It has deepened my cultural understanding, honed my communication and problem-solving skills, and given me the satisfaction of knowing that I am making a difference in the lives of new parents and their babies.

Growing up in a multicultural family, I learned the importance of diversity and cultural sensitivity early on. As a result, working with families from all over the world was a natural fit for me.

One thing I have learned is the importance of active listening and empathy. I strive to understand each family’s unique circumstances and tailor my support accordingly. Whether it’s helping a new mother with breastfeeding or troubleshooting sleep issues, I am always ready to offer a listening ear and practical solutions.

Of course, working with so many families from different cultures can present its own set of challenges. I have learned to be flexible and adaptable, always willing to adjust my approach to meet the needs and expectations of each family.

It is incredibly rewarding to see families thrive under my support. From the tentative first weeks with a new baby to the more confident months that follow, I am privileged to be a part of the journey.

I’m a lifelong learner and have trained both here in New Zealand and in the UK to complete qualifications in Postnatal Maternity Nursing, Postanal Doula, Breastfeeding, Reflux, Colic, Allergy (OCN, UK), Infant Massage, Early Childcare, and Pediatric First Aid.

In-person and online, I help out with both the practical and emotional elements of caring for a newborn, whether that involves navigating food allergies, recovering from post-natal depression, or balancing your new life as a parent with your prior responsibilities and interests.

I can’t wait to help you on your parenting journey.
